White noise is meant in the sense of being overwhelmed by the amount of data we are being exposed to nowadays. The  transmitted information, seemingly of clarity and purity, after closer observation not so pure or clear after all. The somewhat intentional or unintentional selection of information by the sender clouds the perspective on the information and its circumstance from the very beginning and blurs its backdrop in the same way.
